Trimming and chipping done...
I also climbed under a pine tree to cut some small (not evergreen) saplings down that were choking the tree...as well as some of the lower limbs of the pine that were obviously dead. I think I'll hit some more lower branches of the pine...but since I've had a shot of Jameson's and a couple beers, no chain saw work today. The rest of the chipping can wait until tomorrow or next weekend
Wifey and stepdaughter went to Duluth Trading in Massachusetts, so it's just me and Bella (Boxer pup)....we're gonna listen to some blues

Thomas, you need to try that Connemara Irish Whiskey and one of those smooth cigars! The whiskey is peaty (smoky) and I think would be very good with a quality cigar. The whiskey isn't cheap...about 40 bucks...but as an occasional treat, definitely worth the money

68F and cloudy @ 20:30, rain headed in possibly by 08:00 tomorrow, better chances starting around 13:00 though.

Got the entire front mowed between The Woman and me (70%/30%)

Also got one small rhododendron and 19 hosta sets transplanted.

Figured out problem with weed burner - was an inline fuel gauge that for some reason isn't allowing gas to flow. Took that out of the chain and burner operates properly. Torched about 80% of the edge of the northwest planting bed.

The Woman ran out before she started mowing to get canned cat food ... came back with a "Fancy Feast" seafood pack ... and apparently The Squeak gorged herself.

I came in this evening, and as usual, she started whining (she knows I'm a soft touch ...) Woman said "Don't feed that cat ANYTHING !" ... then I got to hear about the gluttony ... (I gave Squeak and her buddy a few treats a little later ... she's a growing kitty ... or wants to be ...)

Us humans suffered with BLT's for lunch.

With rain in the forecast for tomorrow, probably make a trip to Menards and Kubota dealer for parts ... if they are open.

Hope everyone had a great day.

Got the shop cleaned up, then pulled the tractor in to put on the tooth bar. Took a while to drill the holes through the hardened front edge, but got it done.

Then went to TSC to pick up our supply of wood pellets for the upcoming winter. I am glad that I did! ... the store manager told me they sold 41 out of 45 pallets they had in the last 3 days. Their next load won't come in until November 1st....

Then started clearing a spot in the garage to store the pellets. (I carelessly filled the spot where they were last year with a bunch of oak boards, 15 gals of hydraulic fluid, and a rolling tool box). I moved everything but the oak.... I'll do that tomorrow, then hump 50 - 40 lb bags off the trailer and into the garage corner. At least both my sons are home tomorrow to help.... maybe they will do all the "humping of the pellets" after all, it is LABOR DAY!:D

Good evening all. 69F for the start, mostly clear sky, calm wind. Sky became mostly cloudy then cleared off light wind day, and high temp was 90F. Chapel this morning, then breakfast, then meal delivery, after lunch, nap and lube chain and put new cleats on shoes.
