Ron, I think it is a house wren...good pic...it may nest there, or be hunting for spiders to eat. ...
That what I thought when I first saw the picture.
We have them here ... they will often nest in one bluebird house, while filling other close by nestboxes with sticks to keep other birds (maybe wrens only ?) from using them.
They're a protected species, so can't really do anything about them nesting in bluebird boxes ... other than putting up houses specifically for them ... :laughing:
... RS, glad your hummers are back. When I took mine back outside this morning, I had one land and start feeding while I was walking it over to the hook. I stopped and slowly raised it up to my face so the hummingbird was only about 15 inches away while it gulped and gulped.

How do they get so much liquid into so little of a body?
