39, clear and calm with more rain projected for Sat., so I'm headed back to the woods for today and tomorrow. Wish me luck if'n you will cause them deers have gone into hiding.

35 and clear at 0500 when I got up. Both big ponds froze solid the other day when it was really cold for 2 days and even though yesterday must have hit 48 or 50, they were both frozen solid last night. Mid 50's today and 62 tomorrow I think.

I started a burn in the big sloppy burn pile spot with the stumps LstInThot dug up because it is close to the pasture and we decided we'd try to burn it down and move the primary burn pile spot farther from the horses.

I'm on call again today and the horses come sunday at 2pm, so I'm going to TRY to get the pasture WAIT no I WILL get the pasture ready.

There, that is better.

PS - I may be a bit of a redneck at heart, but I actually LIKE to shower and my wife LOVES it when I get all suited up (but to be fair she also thinks I look good in carpenter jeans and a flannel shirt - I thank God for her poor eyesight every day). I wear my hair short enough for bootcamp still, but there are days I really do like skipping the shaving part and think about growing a grizzly adams beard instead of just this "Ronnie Dunn" goatee.

First coffee is in the cup. 61 degrees this morning. Heading to 78 and sunny this afternoon. Goig to put in a couple of patio blocks so we do not have to walk in wet grass. Miss my tractor doing these kind of projects. Have to use a 5 gallon bucket to move the sod and dirt.
