Sure do we lost power for several days, enjoy hearing that generator running so we can watch TV, make french toast, and sit on the computer (s)

31F cloudy dusting of snow,winds were howling most of the night.
Lot snow melted yesterday,know its ice turn to trickle away...no ice jams to be heard of in our area.

It is raining in Austin TX today.

Tonight I will be home in VA, but then in an all day seminar tomorrow, but Sunday looks to be a very nice day.

I miss my family, my tractor, and the quiet peace of my land.

Going to be in the 50s in the Shenandoah Valley today, but the ground remains a bit damp from last week's snow and overnight showers to do much outside. Maybe make it a maintenance day.

35 degrees here, got some snow flurries earlier today. Weather is predicted to warm up to about 64 degrees later next week. I was out yesterday picking up wind blown trash from the yard and clecking to make sure all my downspouts (slip fit vinyl) were in place properly glad I checked them as one was disconnected from the gutter and all the water from it would have run down along the foundation. Check yours before the spring rains start.

Good idea, JD-- cleaned my one spout yesterday, for the fourth or fifth time this spring. We had a lot of wind this fall/winter, and I've never seen so many ash seeds!

..And here we are at another morning. (Please pardon my sarcastic attitude; see below.)

Yesterday afternoon we got a lot of sun, all the previous night's dusting melted away, temps were nice at around 35... and schedules just happened to coincide

so we were planning to fly down to PA today to pick my airplane up and fly it back up here. Been waiting a long time for this!

UNFORTUNATELY (Arrrrgh!!), we now have a good EIGHT INCHES of "flurries" on the ground and it's still coming down at a pretty good clip!

This is shaping up to be one of the biggest snowfalls we've had this year (not that we've had a lot of those....).

I'm sure the ski areas will love it, but it looks like our mission is about to be scrubbed...again. Weatherman sure missed this one! Yesterday's forecast was for "occasional/possible flurries, but mostly sunny"....

Oh, well... hope everybody else has a good day, and at least I know I'll be getting some tractor time today, for sure!

Wow, Wayne... that's what I was kind of hoping for up here, but no such luck.

It's STILL snowing, hasn't stopped since I first noticed it at 3AM. Must be up to 10" by now. Wonder how it is on Thomas' side of the hill..... This storm now matches the 10" we got back on Halloween-- but at least this isn't slush!:thumbsup:

Sorry, scgargoyle... 70F just does not compute right now....
