I finally found what Firefighter was making.
Hope your mom got to watch Monday nights Lions game.My 96 yo mom still loves watching football. Thursday thru Monday have her covered.
Ron, great pics.
Reminds me of the time I had to braze a fitting onto the gas tank of an older car, to avoid adding a fuel cell to the trunk, in an application where the OEM sump was too undersized for a big block conversion. Never been so scared in my life, as putting the torch to that tank... and that was after about 2 days of rinsing with water and detergent.
For that to happen the tank was still pressurized, those tanks are SCBA tanks. They contain compressed breathing air not O2.Reminds me of the time I had to braze a fitting onto the gas tank of an older car, to avoid adding a fuel cell to the trunk, in an application where the OEM sump was too undersized for a big block conversion. In this case though, you'd think simply filling the bottle once with water would safely force all O2 out of the bottle. Dump the water out and leave the valve open while cutting, should be a zero danger situation.
Seems bizarre a firefighter wouldn't know to depressurize a tank and leave the valve open when cutting. For that to happen the tank was still pressurized, those tanks are SCBA tanks. They contain compressed breathing air not O2.
Kyle, you are right, corn squeezins ARE for drinking.
Good morning! last night the card's scoreboard was updated and I snagged 2nd place out of 40. We play for wins (not points) and first place and I both tied at 39 wins for the Summer quarter. If there is a tie of wins then the points determine the winner and she had more points. The top three get their pic in the neighborhood magazine. Pictures taken next week. Not doing as good this quarter - loosing more games than winning.Don sorry water bill so high. Last 2 months my water bill higher than electric bill. Hope they update cards board get updated soon.
Speakin' for myself, I've been astray for a long time.Kyle, you are right, corn squeezins ARE for drinking. You are also right about the ethanol in V-power. I don't know where I got the 0% number from. I'm sorry if I lead anybody astray.
My dad and mom belonged to Oddfellows and Rebekahs back in the late 40’s and 50’s. Us kids attended many family events at the local lodge in Warren, Michigan. You mentioning them lately is first I heard of the organization in many years. Looks like there is still a Lodge in Warren,MI.After dinner went to Oddfellows meeting, I missed the last one, where I was voted into the top seat. That’s why you should never miss a meeting.
any computer can be made to dual boot with a boot manager. I've gone to using solid state drives, as they are much faster booting, my two, 1TB drives are full in my laptop.Good morning, the low is 38 and going to 54°F. Wind E 7 mph. Periods of rain. There is rain in the forecast for the next 4 days. Snow overnight on one of them.

I may get after the hard drive (8tb) I need to clean out today to make room for Linux. It is too early to tell for sure.
Have a safe day all
This is supposedly what he was making. I received the picture in an email this morning that described the accident and announced his passing.I very well liked firefighter lost his life Sunday while doing the below project at home. Little confused what he was doing with an oxygen tank and toilet paper roll. I know several in our group are firefighters.
Special prayers for his family and friends.
This is from the local news report
"Everybody is kind of heartbroken. It was a tragic accident," he said. "He was making a toilet paper roll with an old firefighter oxygen tank. He’s done it plenty of times before, and this time when he was doing it, he cut it open. When he cut it open, it exploded, and shrapnel went through his chest."
I'm smiling just reading about your happy dogs. Thanks!Long day in the shop, finishing off assembly work and then crating on a large project due to ship out this week. Noticed it was a bit cool out when I finished work late tonight, so decided to light both wood stoves, 1/2 load in each. Dogs have assumed their positions, in front of each stove.![]()
FWIW: I use a fair amount of 1-2" nylon hose wrap, both to protect my hoses from sun and physical damage, but also to wrap pairs of hoses together to route the hoses where I want them, and away from pinch points, abrasion areas, moving spindles.Yup, that’s the plan
And zip tie the hoses.
