Good morning!!!!

Morning all, 67 going to 86 and cloudy.
We got rain! Over .5"

Went into town after doing more paperwork.
Son is doing great at college and seems very happy, his birthday is here and his GF is traveling into the city to be with him. We are sending him a cake etc.

Put up the new tall stakes around the new peach tree. Ran out of chickenwire, so will need to buy more.

Autos with more screens, makes for many new cars sales when the screen or projector breaks and it cost more than the cars value.

Be well,

Good Morning to All Who Celebrate! Currently 64° heading to a high of 86° sunny and clear. We had a grand total of two downpours for maybe 5 minutes a piece, probably a total of half an inch of rain. We needed it badly.

A little tractoring this week spreading some tanbark. We've finally got the pile cut down to the point where I'm just pushing it around with the bucket. So now loading and unloading takes longer. Oh well, at least it's almost done.

Not much happened this week, just the day job and a few odds and ends. The pool pump finally quit on Dad, so he was grouching about having that replaced. Still, for 800 bucks, it lived for 10 years so you can't say you didn't get a good life out of it.

I'm looking at a few winches to mount on the trailer, mainly for towing logs to it/up on it. But that's not a priority, more like a nice thing to have in the future.

Main goals for this weekend are to pull the log splitter out from it's hole and go over it, gotta get it ready for production as it continues to cool off and more people think about firewood. Otherwise just some energy conservation.

Y'all stay safe out there and be well! Enjoy the weather while it lasts!
Prayers for all Ailing and Recovering!

had to look that up
Tanbark is bark from trees like oak and hemlock that is rich in tannin, a substance historically used to process hides into leather. After its tannin has been extracted, the remaining bark is shredded and used as mulch for landscaping and covering surfaces like playgrounds. In the San Francisco Bay Area, it is also a common term for wood chips used in this way.

Good Morning
67° and grey outside. Supposed to burn off with clear skies and a high in the low 80’s.

Yesterday’s RC club meeting was switched to Zoom as a front was looking like it would arrive at the field right at meeting time. And it did. Brought gusty winds and almost 3/4” of rain.

Today the old guys are gather at the field, I might go over briefly, but I’m flying to Portland again today. Martha’s Vineyard on Sunday and Columbus on Wednesday. That’s a lot of days for retired guy…..

Hopefully the forecast is accurate so I can commute with the little plane, I want to be back in time to play music tonight.

Huh, I never knew that! To me it was always just treated hardwood mulch. I thought we called it tanbark because the chips were lightly tanned after the treatment process. I assume the treatment was to help it break down faster and prevent fungus growing on it.

Learn something new everyday.

Another cement hauler truck rollover up the road last night. One wrecked just down the road the other day.

Not sure I’d like HUD, I hate stuff reflecting in the windshield.

HUD for the visually impaired is a game changer.
I am sorry, well actually I'm not if they are that visually impaired they should not be driving on public roads.

69°F and .03 inches rain

My short ribs were excellent and the guys won.

Today I’m off to Hilo Medical Center for a Pulmonary Function Test, PFT, courtesy of the VA.

Doubtful I’ll get into much after that by the time I get home.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

The persons might be far sighted, and the normal gauges might be hard to focus on. That's not going to majorly affect the driving, except perhaps for exact speed.

I've only driven a HUD a few times at night, and I did find it easier, thought I'm not far sighted.

All the best, Peter

75.3F with a mix of sun and clouds @ 13:00. Quite breezy. Calling for a high of around 79F. Low this morning was 51F.

50% chance of showers tomorrow.

Got a couple packages of okra sealed up and put in the freezer last night.

Deer netting seems to be holding as of this morning.

Still no success in locating tamper, truly a mystery.

Agenda for today (in no particular order):

Get 12’ round posts put on saw horses and start finishing up coating those with asphalt.

Move 2 x 12’s over to the radial arm saw and get those cut to length.

Glue and clamp 2 x 12’s where needed.

Move more 4 x 4 posts onto hay wagon.

Finish pressure washing asphalt.

Maybe do some watering in the garden.

Check to see what needs harvested.

Beyond that see what else comes up.

Hope everyone is having a decent TGIF …

You can still get a drivers license with an impairment. Field of vision, peripheral vision, some depth perceptions, colors, brightness, etc. etc.

good morning all
one weather station says .45, the other says .58, second one likely most accurate.
well that's enough rain to make the grass green again

have a busy day planned today. Meeting two childhood friends for lunch, getting some Jersey Mikes subs to take
to one friend in wheelchair. Then home later today to see if I can get my unhappy generator to start. Second time in four years Westinghouse
gen has failed, not impressive at all. Honda doesn't make big gens and we all know they cost at least twice as much. That leaves only a few name
brands to choose from. Though I see Northern Tools makes a gen with a Honda twin engine.

problem with these gens is no one to fix them. Nearest authorized Westinghouse gen dealer is a body shop in Delran NJ, a body shop?
not encouraging.
unfortunately my favorite McGyver is booked for next few days, poor guy has to work...
at least no power outages likely any time soon. I ordered a new on/off switch overnight so will try that today, after
doublechecking oil low pressure switch. Just changed oil, not low oil.
thankfully am on a generator thread here and smarter minds than mine are on the case.

going to be a warm day, 67 out now going up to high 80's.
Drew, have heard good reports on the HF Predator generator.

We had emergency projections (red dots) across the bottom of the window accompanied by a loud beep beep beep to get your attention, in our Buick that we traded in a couple years ago.

It was distracting when it triggered and the beep would scare the ever living crap put of you on top of it. I hated it.

Apparently with the upgraded version, it added guide lines for the lane assist and some other mumbo jumbo as well.

Thats why they make bifocals and trifocals. And most vehicles now have a digital speedometer that shows your speed in great big numbers in the middle of the guage cluster as well.

People need to wear their glasses or get their eyes checked.

My boss is that way. He wears reader's for computer work, then complains when he's not wearing his glasses that he can't flipping read something (including street signs)

I'm in the passenger seat telling him to put his dang glasses on or pull over and I'll drive

thanks
that's one on the list
finally got home this afternoon, and a crummy afternoon it was after a nice lunch with friends.
Took me forever driving across Montgomery Co to get to MRI place, thankfully the report was done.
it wasn't good. Terrible spinal issues but I deal with that every day. Fluid collection in one area that could be a tumor.
more visits
then home to try to fix generator, major fail, could not trace the low oil circuit wire to anything that came apart, but thankfully
neighbor across the street who I keep well supplied with tomatoes has a son in the Generac install business and he said he'd come over and take my gen back and fix it. Marvelous. I'm sure it's something simple.

David, hope the tests come back fine.
better than mine for sure
may your ejection fractions be mighty
