Thanks for the well wishes everyone! I’m sure I will get through this if the docs all work together..yes I have been drinking lots of cherry juice and lemon water, gout doc says they don’t know why or how but it does lesson the effects. Once I’m off the steroids I think the rest will calm down.(crosses fingers). Still working everyday though there are times I don’t know how. Good night. Starting new meds tonight.
Hope the rest of you stay safe and healthy!

Good evening all. 37F this morning, clear sky, light breeze. Light wind today with moderate gust, sky mostly clear, and high temp of 63F. Slow start, cleaning lady prep, clean up desk etc. Bike after lunch , great riding weather for this time of year, wash truck, nap and done for the day. Volagi is ready for pick up, and on tomorrow's list. BIL getting surgery tomorrow, backflow issues on aortic valve and artery enlargement. Not sure of the procedure, but he is expected to spend 3 days in ICU then 2 more in observation.
Phil hope you are able to get gout under control, and the rest sorted out.
Randy, hop you had fun on the tractor.
Buppies, winter on hiatus here too. Next Thursday has some of the coldest weather this winter.
Bill, I promise not to hold my breathe :D
Drew hope the agents can help.
Ron congrats on getting yesterdays list done, I am getting close to done on the before it rains list myself( sure sign Murphy will interfere :( ) Nice pic.
Kyle, wife has not borrowed a bike yet for clothes hanging, better get 10-speed back on road!!
Don glad you were able to get zerk flowing again.
PJ, good help is hard to find, especially people who are both good with business and skilled as mechanics, dirt work, machining etc.
Drew, I had much more problems with cars than trucks while on motorcycles. I rarely got run off the road by trucks and they have much more blind spots. But when nobody lets you leave adequate space for stopping, it only takes one idiot in either vehicle type.
Buckeye nice pic
Prayers for all.

24 right now...high (again) in the low 30's...this has been a pretty mild winter, actually...

Good morning. Mild for us too, 9C/48F. There won't be any sunshine today, otherwise this is great weather for January with little wind and no rain expected until this evening.

Have to get our cars on the battery charger today while it is dry. One is just under and the other just over 2 years old, yet both batteries have already lost most of their capacity. Without going out to work every day, they just don't get used long enough to replenish the current squandered by the every hungry wireless receivers in the door locks. I suspect these that detect the keys in your pocket waste a lot more power than the previous generation that required a button press.

Good morning
temp is 21°F and going down to 10. Wind W 7 mph. 30% chance of flurries.

The 'flurries' we had yesterday evening dropped another 2" on top of what we had the day before. Yesterday I did the windrows and opened an approach that the plow fills in every time he rounds the corner. Today, there is no 'ducking out of it', I must plow everything.

The furnace oil guy came yesterday, $1.25/L ($4.725/US Gallon) taxes in. Clear diesel at the shell station is $1.319/L ($4.985/US gallon).

One of my many cousins called me yesterday to tell me that his aunt (my Dads cousin, my second cousin once removed) had died on Friday Decmeber 13th. 93 years old. She had spent the last year in Lennox Hill hospital in Manhatten.
Her sister aged 91 is wheelchair-bound and in a home up here in Toronto. After the 91 year old dies that will make me the oldest direct relation to my Great-great Grandfather who come over here from the Ulster area of Ireland in the mid 1800s. The farm is going to another cousin whose land backs onto ours. This is a good thing. He may not have the same surname as me, but he is a cousin by marriage and that is good enough for me. At 73 years of age, I certainly do NOT want to start sinking money into a money pit (farm). All the buildings are in good shape, considering they haven't been used for anything except a home for feraal cats for over 50 years.
I can now turn in my transponder for the 407 toll road. There is no need of travelling to the other side of Hamilton, anymore.

Have a good day all

30 heading to 48 and windy sun.

None of the forecasted snow showed up yesterday. Maybe next time. Nice pic, BEF.

I was able to get my firewood under shelter before the rain hit, but not much else outside.

Buppies, glad you got that step on without too much fuss.
