Check valves are an added safety feature that keep the cylinder locked in position and prevent drift.

I understand a check valve, but doesn’t that limit you to one direction? I use my flow control to limit drop speed on the three point, but I don’t have my hydraulic links yet, and won’t for a couple of months.

Do you think your "drift" is caused by your T/T cylinders or ... fluid bypassing inside the remote valve block?

They are talking about pilot checks, they have minimal leakage past them when the SCV is in neutral, when the SCV is activated the pressure to the cylinder to operate it also opens the piloted check to allow fluid to flow to the return path. The SCV's have some leakage which would allow the unchecked cylinder to travel undesirably.

Thank you, that’s what I was looking for.

Ahh the bead of grease forming in the cleaned out joint, a pretty sight. I followed LouNY advice and took out the zerK (zerk itself was not clogged) and cleaned the grease from the joint, sprayed it with carburetor cleaner (we don't have brake cleaner) moved the bucket back and forth, repeat 3 times, reassemble and the grease bead appears. Thanks.
