Good morning TBN!!
45 this morning. Should be mid 70s no rain.

Yesterday was another full day on the bridge. Pressure washing :(
Well not washing but packing. Been spraying the sand rocks and mud in around the edges to seal them up better. I am going to put in more Rip Rap granite and then lay down some concrete fencing that I have extra of, then throw some Sakrete on it to solidify then put another layer in. We will be able to drive on it someday!
Bridge 0.jpg

Today I will probably start doing the same thing in between the tanks.
Also get the dog out and have some fun. He has been neglected the last few days. He watches me for a little bit then heads up to the garage.

Time for a second cup.
Everyone have a great and safe day!!

Dennis, did the pipeline eminent domain your property and force the intrusion or did they try
the honey approach first?
Our lawyers did not know if eminent domain could be used or not, it was never brought up except by me asking. In the end, the money isn’t that great for the permanent damage they do, and the intrusion by so many people. But, wasn’t my sole decision, although I did call their bluff and got enough more money that it paid for our lawyer. We expected this to be a pita while they are working, there’s no other way to do it.

Our lawyers left out some items I had asked to be included, like placement of the trees they cut. Lawyers would respond, they will put them where you tell them, but when the guys on the big excavators did the work, they just picked a spot without asking, and now half are on the other side of the ditch with no way for us to access right now. Not like I have time to deal with them now. 2nd big pile is on the right side, but not easy to get to.
Overall though, so far I’m pretty impressed with how they are doing the work. They are moving at a pretty fast pace so far.
If dad still had cows, it would be different, but since he doesn’t, it’s not worth getting in a tizzy about.

Good Morning,
Vt, 54 to start going to 59. Rain was heavy last night but it looks to have abated a bit. Skies are lightening up a bit. Looks like we will head home today, the past few days were relaxing but I did something to my right shoulder or upper arm. 😩

has anyone used Facebook marketplace and any concerns?
Drew, Marketplace does work but I think that , that’s how my FB account got hacked 😩. But you will sell items on Marketplace 😉
Happy Birthday Mrs Fuddy🎂🎂🎂

Paul, beautiful job knocking out those tabs. You made quick work of that job 😉

Hope all have a good start to their week 🙏

Morning all, 63 going to 67 and rain.
Remembrance for my dad went well, rain on the way slowed us down to 2.5 hours.
On the way back , more rain and many accidents, 4 hours to get home !
It was good seeing all the relatives and friends that showed, big turn out.

only had 1/4 inch rain here though, considering how flooded it was up north.

LS/Ted - hope the new plan does the trick for Dona. Rough times, glad she is tough, positive attitude I think helps to fight it. Prayers sent.

Fuddy - Happy birthday to the Mrs. !

PJ - had a stone once, feel for ya, hope they got the bits small enough to release easy. Dr. told me I got from drinking too much powdered Ice tea mix (even without any sugar).

Buppies - great news, hope Holly coming home goes well.

Can't see the video Happy.

Be well,

Good Morning To All Who Celebrate! 66° going to a high of 70° and cloudy, more rain coming.

Golf was good on Friday, got a little too much sun and a slight burn. Some good shots, some bad. Better than sitting in the office.
Had an interesting service call on Thursday. My aunt had been mowing with the tiny zero turn up at the cabin when she somehow managed to break the bead off of the left hand side tire and of course didn't notice it until the tire was cattywampus and the deck was scalping the ground. So a quick run home, change clothes, throw some tools in the truck and off I went. Valve stem looked untouched and at first it seemed like I was just going to be able to get some air in it and it would pop back on the rim. 20 minutes of the compressor humming away and I realized: The valve stem had detached entirely from the inner tube, so I was blowing air into nothing.

I offered to jack it up and take the wheel off entirely to investigate further, but they declined. The place my grandfather bought it from will send someone up with a trailer to take it back to their shop and do a full overhaul as well as fixing the tire. Probably needed, as it's been up there for the better part of a decade with little to no maintenance. For 400 dollars I think it's a good investment.

Weekend was a slow one, did a great job at making sure the chair didn't go anywhere. Definitely needed that almost as badly as we needed the rain. Grass is almost out of control now. But the old man put new blades on the ZT and was nice enough to add new trimming line to my weed whacker. I guess he needed something to do after turkey hunting got rained out.

Goals for this week: Hold down the fort, lots of travel for work this week, plenty more to do. Take tree down if it dries out again after mowing, stump grinding and tanbarking also needs finished.

Y'all stay safe out there and be well! Enjoy the week!
Prayers for those ailing and recovering!

Good morning! Low was 39°..... after 2 1/2 hours of hail! 3-4" of hail accumulated..... mixed with most of all the new leaves off the trees. Looks like a giant food processor passed through!

1/2" to 3/4" hail will do a number on what it hits. So far, damage found aside from the landscaping:

two vent covers on our RV have 1" holes....
(Patched already with some plumbing putty)

The son's RV has a 2" hole in one of the vents....
(Covered vent with plastic storage container and heavy piece of steel)

My new (to me) truck has some dimples on the hood and roof. (Not bad enough to report to insurance, I'll attempt to pop them out with my dent tool.)

The back wall of the greenhouse looks like swiss cheese. Not going to be an inexpensive fix.....

Some damage to the window screens on the house, was scared last night that the glass was going to break. Screens are cheap to fix.

Just watched the weather forecast..... more severe storms possible this afternoon and overnight. Could get more hail and wind.
The gauge showed 2.25".... not sure if that's accurate -- does hail add up to more actual fluid?
Up to 2" more rain possible through tonight.

Nooooo... couldn't just be a steady rain!
