Drinkin first cup of hot coffee. 24° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 46° with much lighter winds than yesterday. Neighbor came over in afternoon that is helping with roofing project. Did a couple of needed projects and went over all the process and made sure we had all the tools and ladders ready to put metal roof on today. Looking forward to getting a lot done today.
First gray Squirrel I have seen in awhile. Cleanup crew is doing a great job.

Popeye, if it's a good sign. Last of the snow in my yard has melted. Muddy spots have dried up. Spring is here a little early.

my plans for today are to wash my car and work in the garden, hopefully getting
my pansies planted

this is my last day of being young.
tomorrow I turn positively ancient at 75...
I heard yesterday oldest brother coming up for family dinner on Friday, that will be nice family
reunion since sister is in town also.
at our age in our mid to late 70's, every year we are still all here is a blessing.
We are all showing signs of our mileage, myself most of all.
But I haven't sat home, have gone out and "done stuff" so that racks up the wear and tear.
just have to reduce the pace, more plodding than hustling.
have always wanted to be a successful turtle.
Galapagos turtles last over a hundred years

every day is unique and valuable, sure have to make the most of it.
and of course....hug your wife and tell her you love her.
You can never do that enough times.

43 going to 71. Hate to say it, but I could use another month of winter to catch up on my winter chores, and maybe another snow or two to play in.

Owls woke me up this morning. So, I went outside to hear them even better. Some owls start nesting in February.

Yesterday was a hike and swim day...and then some clean-up of branches from the tree I cut.

Good morning, the low is 7 and going to a high of 30°F. Wind E 9 mph. Mix of sun and cloud.

A town and dump run today. IF the car wash is open, then I will wash it too.

Yesterday, before I parked the tractor I made the back blade a little more aggressive. I should check that out first. Then spread some ashes. I have two 5 gallon pails of them.

There is my day planned out.

49 outside this AM, heading to mid 60's.

Awesome day outside yesterday. Managed to walk not my dog a few times. Collecting game cam pics and viewing back properties. Nothing exciting. Returned to real jobs later in the day. We have a complete organizational breakdown at some of our customers. In the process of losing quite a few good people.
Tree guy stopped by with estimate. Have three big (really big) trees that need to come down. No other option as they are over houses. Did I say really big? Will measure the circumference on one when the sun comes up. We think they are at least 75-95 years old. It will be a lot of wood. Not happy about the work load on me going forward. Lots of splitting, moving and stacking time in the future.
Need to get busy this AM. Morning chores are calling. I think the first daffodil should be full bloom today. Gotta stop and take in Mother Nature.

36° now highs in the mid 40’s mix sun/clouds winds NNW 10-15 mph.

Nice day yesterday, high was about 55°. After voting and coffee spent the rest of the day outside cleaning sand off the driveway and just sitting enjoying the weather.

No plans for today just more puttering and maybe a dump run.

Ct, 34 to start going to 52 or so ! Another nice day but not quite as warm as yesterday!

I am pretty sore today, because of all the Trex decking that I loaded into my truck at HD yesterday!

It’s sitting in the DW now destined for Vt ! It was just shy of $1300 for materials just for the 10’ by 18’ deck in front of the family room !

Work today so I better get cracking !

Good morning! 59˚F, AND WE ARE HEADING TO THE MID 90S, first time this year.

Yesterday the Farm crowds came down some more as the tulips are slowly fading away in the heat (82˚ yesterday). I got my hours reduced as requested since there are fewer paying customers it was not painful for them.

The owner did have to work the baby animals tent as all the bottle feedings sold out, it was the most crowded area of the farm yesterday. Some of the baby goats have turned into escape artist but they were all captured eventually.

Good Morning from Wichita
41 at home 42 here this morning. High here will be almost 80, back in PA won’t reach 70.

Yesterday was another day locked inside, I’ll be glad when we are finished.
At least I had a good Kansas steak for dinner. (Sorry Don).

Not much else to report other than hearing about how my 4 year old grandson is pushing his mom’s buttons through her calls to my son here with me.

Morning all, 44 going to 56 and cloudy

Finished chipping the first pile of sticks and put 3 cart loads of chips on the trail entrance.
That's when I found out what made the big bang the other day.
a 70+ foot Ash fell right on the trail path.
Why I can't use the trails right now.

Today if I get time I need to buck up a bunch of larger fallen branches, will also need to buck the fallen tree, chainsaw time!

finished planting half a flat of pansies, in a couple of planters and then drilling front gardens with
Makita cordless and planting auger. Makes it very easy though I sure need a kneeler to do this.

taking a break and now off to nearest feed mill in Rushland, one of my favorite places. I don't have much use for their stuff, and
I've never had animals, but I know they have locally blended grass seed. Used to get my mulch there when I lived in that area.
I think I need about 20 pounds of seed, will see how they package it, maybe by the pound; contractor blend there last time was in really big bags.
just kind of a fun place to go poke around in.

and then when I get home will wash the car.

I had full blown dementia for three straight weeks and came fully back.
usually an underlying condition,, in my case organ cancer.
which truly made me crazy.
My MIL has been out of it a number of times due to UTIs.

one can only hope that proper care, nutrition and meds will bring
much of normalcy back for both Buppies and Holly. She is such a sweet lady; I have a wonderful
picture of her sitting on my rv couch with simply the best smile.

good trip to feed mill, got my "Delaware Valley" grass seed, ten pounds should be plenty.
and two more bags of the organic raised bed mix because it was 17 bucks there and 31 at two other retail places.
they do pretty big volume here
nice lady inside, like dealing with friendly grandmother

now to finish my pansies. They make it officially Spring.

4100 steps by noon and back is screaming.
but all the pansies got planted, all the flower beds got raked out
and then I got the new hitch installed on the truck.
pretty tight getting the anti rattle gizmo in there.
it will need to get loosened if the vertical height is changed.
but I'll only do it once.

I had a four way once, looked very cool with that towing hook on it.
now I'm more sensible and only want the two balls I use.
no pun intended.
