Good Afternoon,
Haven't looked yet but will probably need to take the tractor across the river to get out. Sure wish FEMA would show up.
Happy, sorry to hear that you haven’t received any aid or help from FEMA ! Hopefully it comes soon ! 🙏

view from my desk all day yesterday.
Hi Ken, what a great view! Your mind is probably more disciplined than mine ! I would be looking out all the time , and not getting any work done ! 😉

had fun installing some shelves in new garden shed.
I had the wood, but of course it was second from bottom on rack and I took the opportunity
to take it all down and restack.
Have a lot more to go in shed but just taking advantage of 60 degree weather.

Has dropped to 45° and going down , windy. Now 1.3” rain
Tiger did good on trip to vet. We let him loose in the car, and had cat carrier open. He got in the carrier by himself. Coming home we opened it, but he stayed in. It’s a new soft carrier, they like it much better than the old plastic ones. He does need to go on diet, he gained 4#.

Tractor dealer thinks they can adjust the brakes. They did confirm PTO seal is leaking, so ordered one. I told them to add the missing ROPS bolt, for the fold up. Dad seems to loose those. Hopefully not a huge bill.

Snow at the farm.

got my hair cut, picked up some rub for ribs tonight, then home just before rain really picked up.
Should have several more hours of it then tapering off and clearing up for tomorrow as much colder weather comes back.

rubbed the ribs, then put no sugar added barbecue sauce on, more pepper, and in the oven for two hours at 300.
Three hours at 250 would be better if I was that patient.

time to watch a movie and listen to rain spatter on windows.

Good (Thursday) morning. Overnight Low of 13.1C and it's presently 25.0C, a bit breezy & lightly overcast.

Yesterday's grocery 'run' went well. After unpacking I resisted a spell of procrastination and got 'stuck in' to finishing off the stick/branch collection. Honestly, the weather was perfect for doing so and it only took a couple of ute-loads to accomplish.

Not much planned for today, although the lawn will soon need a mow and/or the house could do with a 'sprucing'.

The only 'word' I received on my Sister is that her surgery is definitely "today".

That's about it, take care all.

Last time I checked, neither Chase or Bank of America would accept loose change, Paul. I'll be darned if I'll pay the coin counter machine at the grocery store, or roll it myself. So it continues to accumulate for my heirs.

My bank has a coin machine for the free use of its customers.
It counted $1591.00 of my change today.

what did that weigh?

one online calculator said that much in quarters would weigh just under 80 pounds...if a mix of less valuable, and less weighty money,
just curious

just shouldn't be that hard to sort by gravity, I'm thinking sorting eggs by size...
and no surprise, you can get a sorter on Amazon

Good Evening! 41˚F now but the winds will shift shortly from the south and it will warm up.

This morning I do not know what the temp was in the back yard because I had not replaced the defective weather station, which I finally did do today. This morning the town temp was 33˚ and warmed to 63˚ no frost. Still waiting for our first freeze.

Dr. visit with the shoulder surgeon this morning and he tested my strength and flexibility. He was happy with the results and said I will continue to improve for the next year. He also thinks this is my last month of PT.

No sightings of dust bunnies today, the combo of EGO leaf blower and Hide-a-Hose (exhaust to the outside) terminated them. (About time.)

It weighed more than I could carry, I ended up dumping some from each container into a 5 gallon bucket. I would say that the predominant coin was a penny, but you can look at the mix. You can see that the 5 gallon bucket was not very full.

Good evening all. 31ºF for the start, clear sky, light breeze. Light wind, moderate gusts, sky remained clear, and high temp was 58ºF. Made coffee to start morning. Men's meeting, then ordered battery powered leaf blower/vacuum. Should get here tomorrow. Trip to town for lunch, cut Christmas tree, and groceries. Bike ride, nap. Group did not meet for dinner, went to restaurant anyway, got to talk with an acquaintance most of the time I was there. Will be going to Saint Louis for Christmas.

Drew hope haircut went well.
Billy hope to get the bottom recut and tree in water tomorrow. Seems like if the cut tree was bundled for a long time it would need some time to let the limbs drop back in position. Other we would put tree up one day, lights one day, then ornaments. Glad dump run done. glad they put up decorations. Glad you and Della got hike.
Drew thanks for the weather radar pic.

Dennis bet you would like a ton of two of the round pieces.
Lou sorry snow gone, hope you get some more. Hope shopping went well.
Ken hope financial aid forms went well. Nice view.
Paul glad you got good soaking rains. Nice oil of Emily. glad you got another fire to enjoy. Hope transfer and transport of coins to counting machine went well. Hope you got markers installed as well.

Good morning, the low is 9 and going to a high of 14°F. Wind W 6 mph. The "periods of snow ending near midnight" didn't happen. Flurries for today.

Around noon today there is the dump run and pick up more dope at the dope store. Might as well get back into my winter routine. The only exception is that there is no P.O. run, they are on strike.

The rest of today will be energy conservation, I hope.

Have a safe day all

Drinking hot cup of coffee. 13° with snow squalls from Lake Michigan this morning. Heading to 18° with continued snow and wind.About 4" of snow so far. Belly high on Sassy. Not much got done yesterday. Should have gone grocery shopping. Does not look like it would be a good time to go today. Maybe tomorrow when temperatures will be in single fidgets. Will plow snow for first time this year later today.

Mostly, Coppers Hawk is not large enough for Squirrels. Will go after Chipmunks.

Everyone stay well and safe.

Good Morning All.

good morning all
1.39 on the rain gauge, looks like that is over and now some cold weather returns.
I'm hoping to transplant some outdoor shrubs today, the ones I planted "over the line".
The ground will now be softer and thawed, better plant before it refreezes.
Well, going to try anyway. Need to get them moved before new fence goes up.

Ron, have fun today, slow and steady and no slip sliding.

29 reaching for 45. Bright moon earlier this morning. Got over an inch of rain.

Mostly, I think you are right.

Roasted 3 batches of coffee yesterday...company coming Saturday.

What app are you guys talking about on virtual hiking ? That sounds really interesting, especially in NZ alps ! My hiking expeditions are probably pretty mundane to what your looking at ! 😉
Yesterday I mentioned AllTrails, probably the best overall app for the US and many other parts of the world...provides realtime GPS logging of your hike on a map base on your phone (also a PC version). You can view other hikers' hikes and reviews, and see total mileage and elevation gain, and photos taken along the hike, attached to the trail via GPS coordinates. Filters let you pick trails of a certain length, or for features like waterfalls.

They have a free and a paid version. One cool feature on the paid version takes the trail, applies it to a 3D aerial view, and progresses the length of the hike from the sky...gives good perspective on elevation and physical features.

One other way to check out a trail is to search it on YouTube...many are well documented.
