Our goats have eaten our first kudzu patch to Zero. Our heard has grown from 12 does to 20 does and we need to clear more kudzu for future tree planting We started with a Dozer put a path all the way around and finished with a pond. I've purchased 75 8ft by 5inch treated stretch posts and 300 T posts with 75 80lbs bags of ready mix concrete. I've ordered 12 330ft rolls of goat fence

Was told for the past 3 years that a pond could not be made on our farm. We found clay! This photo shows part of the new fence line. Planning on working Auger next

Picture #3 looks cold and wet! Appears you have plenty of good help, so you ought to come out all right.

Will you dig a trench and put a clay key in the dam? How big will the pond be?

Looking forward to more pictures.

How much area can 1 goat clear of Kudzu?

Kudzu takes 3 years to kill(spray-chem or Over-graze). Lots if studies on this topic. I think one goat per acre for 3 years will do the job. Since my Kudzu is scattered it will take me more that 3 years to kill all if it. I've put a fence around the largest patch (see my previous post) and now another fence(this posting).

Got 2 inches if rain last week. Pond seems to be catching water - and holding it. Very happy this seems to be working.
