Glow plugs

Hello I have a case ih 75c and got a question about the glow plugs it is getting cold here and when i turn key on the glow plug light comes on and shuts off right away but i continue hearing a clicking noise for a little while is that still the glow plugs heating up? I know on my 7.3 diesel the light goes out but relay stays on for a little while i would assume it is the same but curious. Thanks

Put a voltmeter or a test probe on glow plug and to ground and see how long voltage is there at glow plugs compared to what light is doing....
