Kubota L3240
I just bought a used box blade for my L3240, the guy I bought it from did not know the make, after some research I found out it is a Gill sr25, I think its rated too big for L3240, I use it more as a ballast my fel can lift 1500# in the fel user manual recommends just under #1000, I'm a little worry it might damage my tractor. image.jpgimage.jpg

Welcome aboard and just let me say Holy Kenobi, Juan!
That's a nice lookin' box blade you found.
If you can lift it and pull it okay with the L3240, then I'd say it's just right.
I'd think the 66" or 72" would be ideal, depending on your tire configuration.

Congrats, very similar to the one I picked up last week. Mine is a 6 footer (sr20.?). I'm jealous though. I one didn't come with the scarifiers or the rod that holds them in place. Are your scarifiers 18" tall? Is the rod 1/4" or 3/8"?

That is definitely too big for your tractor. I will take it off your hands:laughing:

I think the 72'' would be better for a L3240 but it should be fine.

@Illni22, yes 18" and 3/8", its a bit bigger than planned, but im picking up logs and stumps 1000# + n up with stability, to me it's more important as a ballast, the dealers in NJ all wanted 650 for ballast box, I paid a .333 less for the box blade drop off at my house, for a little more than 650 I could of bought a new box blade and on Craigslist I found this box blade.

Obejuan, thanks for the specs. Once I get the scarifiers I'll work on the rod to pin them in.

Kubota's IMPLEMENT LIMITATIONS are very conservative.
I think you will be fine with the 78" width and 1,035 implement weight in terms of the tractor.
The questions are: Do you have enough horsepower and traction with turf tires to pull the box blade once it starts to fill?
In turn, these questions are partly dependent on your soil type and moisture content. Soil is highly variable in NJ.
You made a great buy.

I trust you have a front end loader on your tractor......

Obeone, can you tell me the spacing between the slots in the scarifiers? 3 5/8", 7 1/8" total (3 slots). Those are the measurements from a eBay seller. Woods doesn't give the specs on the spacing. I don't want to buy the wrong ones.

Not sure what u mean, but I have 4 slots on each side for a total of 8 scarifiers, do want the distance between the slots?

I'm sorry. I talking about the actual scarifier shanks. The indentations on the front part of the shanks. Do the shanks only get held by indentation on the top side of the frame of the box blade (where the rod and steel shim hold it tight. If that's so, then the scarifier is leaning slightly backwards as it goes thru the square tub, resting on the backside of the tube as it exits it towards the ground.

The measurements I gave you were from an ebay seller. It was the distance between each indentation on the front part of the scarifier. If it only uses one (the one resting against the top of the square tube, the the spacing doesn't matter. But if it had to be held in two spots the the spacing would have to match up with the thickness of the scarifier tube. Sorry to be a pain in the butt!

Here is a picture of the shanks with the dimensions.
