Getting a new toy

I have located myself a ym2210 with a buhler/allied loader and am going to pick it up tomorrow. I will be selling my ym2001 or the ym2210 - the loader, I am not sure I can part with my ym2001 so I may put the loader on it and sell the ym2210. anyone in my area interested in buying either pm me. the ym2001 is in perfect running condition, 826hrs.

You must be getting a deal to bother buying it and then breaking it up to sel it. I have land in Lancaster Co. Id be interested at least on a price for the loader. Not saying i will pull the trigger.

I'm thinking the "-" before the loader means that either tractor he sells will not have the loader because he will be keeping that.

Yep your right, went back and read what he wrote after you pointed that out. Yep hes gonna keep one tractor and a loader. The whole situation makes a bit more sense now. :laughing:

yea plan to keep the loader regardless of which tractor I decide on, new loader gonna cost me $3000+, so why not spend a tad more and get a tractor to. I'll even throw in a few attachments with either, box and hawg.

again LOADER is not for sale, just so there's no mistaking. :thumbsup:

not sure, I think its a 5', its a king kutter I know that, I will find out, and yea i'll probably sell that separately, ,no need for it, just comes with the deal im getting.

Well I got it, everything checked out, runs good. Only thing I noticed after I got home was the decompression lever is to tight to open by hand, I can tap it at the valve cover with a rubber mallet and open it, but not by hand with the lever under the dash, any ideas? Didn't have to use it to crank it fires up with one turn, but will need it this winter.

is it the 95 ? or the 195 ?

It is the 195, pretty well built, heavy duty bucket. Any idea about the tight/stuck decompression lever?

That's a nice looking unit. I'm interested to hear you compare the 2210 to your YM2001. The loader sure looks brawny.

I'd disconnect the cable for the compression release, and see if the binding is in the mechanism itself, or the cable. Hopefully the cable is binding, and it isn't a bent shaft. If it's the cable, probably pulling it off and lubricating it with your favorite penetrating oil will fix that. If the lever is binding you'll have to pull the valve cover, I imagine.

Well the 2210 is a heavier built tractor vs the 2001, the 2001 is a tad bigger and has more foot room, I likely will sell the 2001, I honestly will hate to see it go but the powershift rules with the loader. The 2001 has the nicer dash with actual gauges and more sheet metal and Ofcourse is quieter with the 3 cylinder, Im gonna stop now before I change my mind, maybe I can figure out a way to convince my Wife to let me keep both..

In regards to the decompression lever, there isn't a cable its metal rods linked together, it's not the linkage but the lever at the valve cover, I guess I will have to get into it and look, how would that bend? Hopefully some lube will fix it, any one care to post a diagram of that linkage in the valve cover?

I know what you mean when having to make a decision on which tractor to part way with, You know how reliable 2001 has been for you..... I believe if anyway possible I would use the 2210 as frequent as can to find out if any other problems may surface, before getting rid of the 2001,

Yea it has dual controls, i may change it to single control I'f i can find how to plumb it, not real familiar with hydraulics.

my (new to me) 336 has a cable decompression pull thingy. It also was jammed up, but a little lube on the shaft of the pull thingy at the dash solved that problem. My cable moved freely up to the decomp linkage at the top head of the motor, so no worries there. If you have linkage from the pull thingy (like how I keep using that term!), I suspect lubricating all the moving joints or as they said, looking for a 'bent' part would probably take care of the problem. Good luck with the new toy!

Let me try to address this better, the part under the dash that links to the decompression at the valve cover works fine, I try to turn it left it is tight but the part coming out of the valve cover that the linkage connects to is so tight I can even move it by hand. A light tap on it with a mallet will move it to open position, but I also have to tap it back to close. The linkage from valve to under dash is fine. Guess I'll have to pull the valve cover, can I use any type lubricant under there? Wd40?
