Generac Generator GP7500E Rebuild

Well I would say today was a success. Everything went back together smooth with no major hiccups. Generator started on the 2nd pull and produced electricity!

Thanks again for everyone’s help and input.

Total price including purchase price & parts I am at $221. I believe I still came out ahead even with having to rebuild the engine. The only thing currently not working at the moment is the hour meter but I can live without that for the time being.

I can see the emissions plate in this photo. You can decode who made it from that.

nice job. Ive replaced a few motors on generac standby generators...and thats a 4-6 hour job. Ive never attempted to rebuild one, as im not wanting to be a mechanic again. Also, the time it would take me to do so would not be worth it. Ive talked to some people that have rebuilt the larger 2 cylinder engines successfully......parts are readily available... but i gave up rebuilding engines back in the 1980's when my brother and i rebuilt chevy engines for racing his GTO. i was fed up with grease and bruises. .
