GC1720 steering wheel

Just another Newby question. My new GC1720 steering wheel does not return to the same place every time. I put a steering knob on it and it seems to always be in a different place when I straighten out. As in 10:00 o'clock; 6:00 o'clock; 9:00 o'clock, etc... Is something amiss with my steering?

It uses an orbital valve for the hydraulic steering cylinder. There are no hard "stops" . IMO operating normally.

What may help is not turning the steering wheel fully to one side. It will keep it kind of centered. Cranked over to one side, the wheel will keep turning, resulting in the spinner knob changing position.
