Ballast GC1705 Front Weights

Wanted to get some front weights to balance the GC1705 because I dont have a loader, or a need for one.
Tried getting the Agco parts but they dont sell here in NZ which is annoying.

I'm using a box blade on driveway and levelling ground but the tractor didn't have much grip at the front so got the local Agco dealer to make these front weights up.


Painted MF gray and definitely helps pushing/pulling with the box blade on.

Frame and bolts are about 11lb and then each weight is approx. 30lbs for a total approx 165lbs. Has a center-bolt tab in the middle to stop them coming out of the bracket.


It sits about a foot out from the front axle which makes it quite effective.

Is that a 5 foot box, how does the 1705 handle it?

Interesting! I have the front loader, but need extra weight to be able to steer well in the winter so I bought a few weights from agco for my tractor.

Surprise, they don't go on!! im not sure yet if I am just supposed to remove the push bar or if I need to buy a piece like you have that sits out in front of the tractor to hang the weights.

anyone else ever use these?

If you have a factory loader with grill guard pretty sure you need to order the weight bracket mount to bolt onto the grill guard.
