GC 2310 MMM

I have a GC 2310 with a MMM..
I would like to know if there is any EASY way
to attach the pto..

It is very hard for me to pull back on the ring and then push
forward while holding the ring back..

I do it using one hand.

- First, grip the top of shaft just behind the ring, with your thumb and index finger pointing forward onto the ring.
- Second, place the lawn mower coupling on the edge of the mid PTO shaft.
- Third, pull back on the ring and then, as ring pulls back, slide forward. Once the coupling is on the shaft, push until it clicks. I always pull back to make sure it is seated well.

It took a little while but now I can do it pretty quickly. Two handed is near impossible because of the angle. I believe I am on the left hand side doing this left handed.

Thanks for letting me know how you attach urs and I also do it the same way BUT for some reason while holding back the ring I have a very hard time pushing the hole thing forward ..

Last time I re attached the MMM I had to have help I held the ring back and had the wife to push forward with a long rod to get the darn thing to move for ward
I always like to have help BUT not like this /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Do you rotate the coupling, while the ring is pulled back? The grooves must line up and if they do, it should slide on easy. It literally takes me 5-10 minutes to put this on by myself.
