Snow Equipment Owning/Operating Gas snow blower

Just a thought
Instead of paying $2500.00 for a snow blower couldn't I just find an old gas snow blower and take the motor off, do some fabrication and hook it up to my 3pt hitch. Not sure if this has been asked before but can it be done?

Width would be the first issue, you may need to have two or three of them side by side. Secondly the small gas snowblowers are not as heavily built.

No. You'd need 3 of them, and it's way cheaper to just buy one. I bought my 6' Econor via Craig's List last summer for $1350 (and got a 6' Woods grading blade thrown in for free).
