g18 mower engine losing power

Hi there i have a kubota g18 rear collection with a high tip, my problem is that the engine is losing power when cutting short grass i have changed the 2 fuel filters it starts fine will cut for a while and all of a sudden it loses power like u were cutting very high grass can anyone help. 2005 is the year of manufacture 18 hp diesel engine

There might be a dual air filter system. I know my old Kubota had it. Check the outer filter, then look inside the housing. I believe inside, a wingnut holds the primary air filter.

only one air filter blew it out the mower stars fine when i engage the blades after about 5 mins it loses power in waves it powers up the powers down

I had some loss of power issues with my G1900 (almost same engine) early after I bought it (used). The local Kubota mechanic recommended adding a some deisel fuel additiive...after a half a tank it was running right again.

I now add a cleaning additive to all my deisel fuel.
