Buying Advice G174 crankshaft

I just sold my Bolens/ISEKI G-174....maybe it's good thing I did....that's gonna' cost....Len may be able to help out....parts are expensive....I feel bad for you....Ampa

Unless the crank is really destroyed a good well equipped engine repair shop can "spray" the destroyed journal and then turn it down to match the other journals. This would probably be much cheaper than buying a replacement crankshaft. Many times the bearings are a standard size inside diameter and they can find a replacement meant for another application and with minimal modifying you can make it work.

Thank You for the info. I completed the tare down yesterday and will give that a try I will post the outcome. VMC

You can get undersized bearings. turn the crank to the largest size you can get by with. If your crank is too bad, i should have one.

I just pick up a tx1500f very very very cheap but it has a broken crank. Is there any hope ?
