i just bought a bolens g174 front end loader just stoped working and at the same time i got a unsteady clanking around the ratiator could i have sheered a pin on the front pump i bought the manual but it dosnt cover the front pump does anyone know what it can be

Is the loader the only hydraulics on it? Are there SCV ports or a 3 point hitch? Do they work? Does steering work? Is steering a separate pump?

The best thing to do is look. If they put a front pump on it there has to be a reservoir for it as well. Follow the lines and see where they lead. They would probably have used something like a Lovejoy coupler but it would have a key most likely. Maybe it will be an easy fix. Gather some information and come back here if you need further advice. There are lots of knowledgeable people here. (I've read their posts) Good luck!

It's highly possible you've sheered a pin on the front hydraulic pump, especially since the loader immediately stopped working and you hear an unsteady clanking noise near the radiator (where the pump is often mounted).
