I am new to this forum,so bear with me. I recently bought a fx32d,it is a great tractor,I would like more info on it.Can someone give more details on this tractor.I bought it from a man at work.He bought it rebuilt from a place in texas.

This thread is over 1 year old, but the FX32 still has a 4 cylinder engine.

Based on my googling I'm to wonder if 3 and 4 cylinders were made? Wonder if one maybe preceded the other. There seems to be evidence of both if you look. Not saying this is fact, just saying there could be both.

I guess that could be true. I was basing on this listing from someones OPs manual from 2003, which we all know is just a compilation of American user input, and the fact that the only head gasket Hoye shows for that model has 4 holes.

It depends on whose specs you choose to believe. The only proof would lie in a FX32 OEM Japanese parts manual.

So you have not actually seen that tractor. Can find no evidence that anyone has actually eyeballed a 3 cyl. FX32, although several spec sheets list one.

I can't imagine a dealer running an ad like this without knowledge of the tractor. Yanmar FX32D

My FX 26 D is a 4 cylinder. I find it hard to believe they would put a 3 cylinder in a bigger tractor but I guess anything is possible.

I had an FX32-D for 4 yrs, its a 4 cylinder.


The fx42-D is the same engine & frame, but they put a turbo on it to gain 10 more hp so its a 42 HP.

I am going to look at one this week. I'll have the dealer pull a side cover and look.
