I'm wondering if anyone has a method for marking rows behind a rotary tiller. I usually till a row thoroughly, then go back and make small furrows for planting seeds, using a triangular hoe.
I was thinking I might attach something to the rear door of the tiller which would drag along behind and make evenly spaced furrows. Any thoughts?
thanks!

I made a bracket and attached my one row middle buster (potato plow) to the back of my tiller. I do not have any pics of it attached but my web site has some of the middle buster and my yanmar tiller. My tiller has two gauge wheels on the back with a cross bar. I attached the middle buster to that cross bar. When I till it diverts the center dirt to the left and right sides making two nice hills. My tires make a valley on both sides of that. Saves a lot of work. You could just get a replacement blade and fab a bracket/frame to hold it. It does not have to be super strong since the ground is loose from tilling. It just rolls it over on top of the other loose dirt.

Thanks a lot ! It's good to hear from someone who has actually tried this idea. It would be great if I had one of those Yanmar tillers with the bar already there! Now I have a better idea of what I need to do.
thanks

I got my idea from a rotovator available from my oem tractor mfg. Here is a pic if it.
It has the caption...
Rotovator are ideally suited for soil bed preparations because the operation combines both primary & secondary hillings.

Awesome-looking rig and a back-saver to boot!
Tony, let me know if you make that.

If I could make one like that, I'd be starting a business of my own!
Somehow I doubt my rigging will look much like that one.... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Don't the shovels pull the tiller too deep? I just picked up an ancient single row cultivator and put some barley corn shovels on it. So I have to make another pass, but the seat is comfortable. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I have a Troy-Bilt 19.5hp riding mower, and I am looking for attachments to use with it like maybe a disc or furrow plow or tiller. Where can I fine these for a riding mower.
