Kubota L5030HSTC with LA853 loader with q/a that pushes out a bit and hla 42" forks w angle block in rear to space q/a bracket to right angle. Tires ballasted.

Will lift a 1998 Geo Metro 4 cylinder auto 2dr with 4 spare tires inside to 6" with curl circuit, not the boom circuit. Forks inserted from the side.
Will lift a 4x8 6" thick concrete slab to 2-3 ft
Will not lift a 6x8 ft 6" thick concrete slab completely.
Will lift I think it was 42 8" concrete blocks and pallet from 1 ton truck. (not a full pallet)

MF 5455 with Quicke 750 loader with euro q/a and hla 42" square tip forks
1998 Geo metro to full height
6x8 x 6" slab to full height (well as high as I dared)
14 ft Knapheid flatbed to full height
Full pallet of block

The only think I've not been able to lift with the MF is a volkswagon sized rock in a field behind us.

Kubota used to publish charts showing the lift rating per height, I think the LA852 was the last model with that chart freely published.

Fallen Pecan tree with root ball still in the ground. Put my forks under the trunk near the base, just to see if maybe I could pop the root ball up that way. I didn't figure it would work, but what the heck it only took a few seconds to try it. Of course it didn't work. Loaded rear tires popped up off the ground quicker than I thought. Didn't have any other counterweight though.

2014 LS 5020C with loaded rear tires and a LL5100 loader rated at 2650lbs at the pin will easily lift a ~1860lb payload. 42" HLA heavy duty forks with skids the quick attach. Haven't tried anything heavier yet. P.S. It lifted this from various heights to max height and curled any time all at idle . no other counter weight other than the loaded tires.

One other thing to think about, is how you pick something up with your forks. I have only a little over 1400 lbs of lift capacity but over 2600 lbs of curl ability. I have noticed if I try to pick up a rock that I cannot lift, I can often curl back all the way, shifting the rock back more towards the pins, and then will be able to lift it up and drive off with it. So if you have a pallet you cannot lift straight up, off the ground, try to curl it back all the way (if the load is stable enough and will not spill over the mast backward) and then try to lift it. Often it will make a difference.

Yep great point... I am finding the power is in the curl vs. lift when 'screwing' around with stumps, etc. I rolled a huge stump (that an excavator cleared) with my little BX by curling and pushing. Could have never lifted it.

Lifting Heavy
As everyone has said, the farther back the better

A little extra help - Curl bucket - relax curl and lift - repeat until you have the height needed.

The bucket going down lets lift come up. Try it, just a little coordination needed.

The point was NOT too cheat, but to see what they could handle on a pallet, evenly distributed.

I did not consider it cheating. Just a normal way of using the FEL to the max.
My little guy is only rated at 1,750, by rolling & lifting it has managed about 2,000# up to flat bed height.
