Fun with the loader tonight - pallet fork test

It would be loads of fun. I don't take to heart when I lose, now will I gloat to much if I win.... Lol

:-/. Jk..... Swing on by anytime.

The thing that would worry me is the H-DS giving you an edge in speed under heavy load. If it was a narrow loss I'd console myself by remembering the savings. If I lost too bad I'd probably have to switch colors, I wouldn't have a choice.

Seriously though this idea has merit. I'm envisioning youtube videos and an official sounding name like the Michigan Redneck Tractor Test Lab.

My rear tires are loaded with beat juice. Im not sure if I have ever hit the relief valve or at least I dont think I have! This is my first tractor and I have put about 100 hours on it so far. I know I am a newbie and have no other expedience with other tractors other then test driving them but I wasn't overly impressed with the lift capabilities of my Ls! I love my tractor and I know I made the right choice just maybe my expectations are a little high?

If it is still under warranty, let the dealer do it.

If not, ask in the LS forum.

Moreso than the results of the test, I'm impressed that you guys willing to brave this weather to conduct the test!! I would have been looking for the fastest way to unload that pallet and then get back to the fireplace!

This here is 43 bags (40lbs ea on the same pallet as earlier). I here have 34" forks and they don't have the same heavy duty cage as TSO.

I lifted it approx 2'. I was at 27" but since my driveway begins to slope, this can only be a best guess. I stepped out of the tractor and the rear end was light. I could lift it with two hands (could of got dangerous here). I then went And connected my rotary mower. Wow, much more stable. However, 43 bags is NOT a working load for this. This was just a test for MAX load and I would not drive about this way.

Not wanting to overdue things, I threw ten bags on a separate pallet. Lighting, and transporting the remaining 33 bags (1320lbs + pallet + forks + quick attach plate) was extremely comfortable on various pitch ground. I should of tried various weights for transport but I was in a crunch for time.

The one time I really pushed the limits of my loader was when I cut down some walnut trees on my land. I was impressed with the weight it handled. Not sure how much the biggest log I moved weighed, but with my 6' brush hog on the back my tractor would not move unless it was in 4wd. These things are rated much higher to about 4' than to max height (which I didn't know until I moved those trees).

Play it safe use a calculator. Google "forklift capacity" to find more charts.
