I have a 3010 with 22 Hrs. and running between 2500 and 3000RPM's I figured I'm burning about 1/2 gal. an hour. This seems a little excessive to me . You opinions please

That link doesn't appear to be working anymore.
I think this is the new location for it:

Same as I use on my BX22 cutting the grass or using the BH.

That chart looks correct to me. I use about a gallon per hour at PTO speed on my 3010 HST while the chart said 1.15. Close enough for me.

I thought a half gallon per hour would be great. I think I averaged about .7 gallon per hour on my B2710 and was happy with that.

Even sounds a bit on the low side to me. For an L3010 running at those RPMs I think I'd be pretty happy with it.

A little perspective is in order:

car getting 30 mpg at 60 mph = 2 gal per hour

1/2 gal per hour is pretty good!

HI,

On my B2910, doing a variety of tasks, including a lot of loader work, I was getting roughly 8 hours per 5 gallons. That is pretty much in line with Bird's numbers...

Don't we all wish we could get half-gallon per hour milage from our vehicles on the road!

Haven't got a clue as to how much fuel my B7100 uses per hour. Just know that when loaded on the PTO it uses a lot more than for loader or other light work. Usually run at the same RPM most of the time.

1/2 gallon an hour - how do you do that? I've a 3410 (GST), & usually run such at 2100-2400 rpm when brush cutting, leveling, etc. A gallon an hour for heavy work is about right for me.

My 3010 GST goes through about 1 gallon an hour when working it. It does seem like it uses more when using the loader even though when I use the loader the RPM's are kept about 2000
