2020 1734E
I have a 2020 1734E that has been great from the git-go except for the fuel gauge quit working within 6 months.....the dealer wants $250 to take it to the shop. I was told it's a 2 hour job. I'm pretty handy and would like some info about how to proceed with this repair.
Thanks!

It might help if you gave the brand name of the tractor that you are working on , there are quite a few brand specific forums on this site , good luck.

I've replaced them on cars. Usually there is a large cap on top of the tank that holds the sensor. The ones I've seen unscrew but they might not all work that way. The sensor is a float on an arm with a rheostat.

Best way to find it is to look at the service manual or parts diagram.

On some models the fuel pump and level sending unit are all one piece so like Ericm states find a parts diagram to verify what you are looking for.

Is 1734E a Massey?
