I have a TC24D. The left front wheel will not freely rotate when cold. Just wondering if anyone else had this issue, of course there is snow and ice under the wheel and it just slides. I checked the fluid level in the axle and my past experience is that when the axle is warm the wheel runs free. I am guessing that it is either a seal or dirty bearing. I am in southern Maine so it gets pretty cold!! Thanks, Dan.

Of course it could be a seal or dirty bearing but I'd be more inclined to believe somehow water has gotten in there and frozen or you have snow turned to ice jammed up on the outside. Look it over outside for the obvious. If you can get it inside to thaw it will probably work fine.

Jack it up and try to spin the wheel. That should tell you pretty quik where the problem area is.

Thanks! I am 100% sure you are correct!! I placed a torpedo heater near the front end and suddenly the axle began to rotate freely. I am going to drain and look at the oil as soon as it warms up a little outdoors.

Does it have a gear set at the wheel? Did you also check that oil?

Thanks nyone ! Yes,the first thing I did was check the oil level. I am convinced that there is water in the housing. It will free up when the axle housing is heated above 32 degrees. My next step will be figuring out how water crept in. probably new seals. Thanks, Dan.
