yea you could easily stand the tub up somehow and beat the lead into it with a sledge, just cut it up and get a smaller diameter tube with a solid end and beat away.

Mine was done on a trade with a buddy. He placed some solid ingots into it and then melted other lead and poured it in around it. I am not saying there is not any voids in it but it does feel evenly distributed weight wise.

I use the box on the front bumper with 2 cement blocks 77lb each 4"x151/2"x151/2"i was gifted 12 when a neighbor sold shed.

I found some weights advertised and called about them. They wanted 40 cents a pound which is much cheaper than other options. It looks like there will need to be a bit of adjustment made to the bracket, but that doesn't take a lot of time/effort. Besides that, producing one from scratch would require quite a bit of effort. Anyway, here are the weights. They came off a Ford/New Holland.

I am not certain why the pictures show up sideways in the small frame but correctly when you enlarge them. Technology.
