Front Snow Blade

Something like that mounts up to the FEL, correct? The others I saw from Mahindra, Kubota, Deere, etc. all seemed to mount below the machine without the FEL attached. Is one style better than the other?

Personally, I wouldn't want to have to bother with taking the FEL off to put the front blade on. I don't see how carefully plowing with a trip-edge blade would be any worse than what we often do with the bucket. The big thing would be to keep the speed down, and learn the area you're plowing to find those spots that will catch the blade and put stress on the FEL. Once you have that sorted out, pushing snow, by itself, isn't going to hurt the machine.

My need is based more on tightening up the turning radius to meet a need on my property - but I may be able to get around that need with some creative back blading.

not sure how much the plows you all are looking at cost but i know for me in my location it is a way cheaper route to find and old truck plow blade and make some minor mods to it and mount that on the front of the FEL in place of the bucket.

not sure why the pic is so small but if you follow the link below the image is much much larger and could be used to easily duplicate.

this is not my ad of course, its one my dealer posted although the tractor on the left with the blower attachment is mine now as well as the fork/grapple attachment.

E3A. I never did hear from the LS dealer about the front blade, but I did visit with the guy from RADTEC, he says they make the snowblower and subframe for LS and yes the 84" blades from case, massey and kubota will fit. Only diference might be hose length an couplers. lt190b

Here's my front mount on my J2023H.. works fine except that the blower needs taller skids on my gravel drive.

It's a 70 GMC short box step side- just finished it 6 months ago- my first attempt at restoration... earned a lot about what not to do... thanks for asking. Phil
