Hi...I have a JD X585 with 54" blade (quick hitch). My question is whether anyone knows of a "scoop" (pseudo-loader) that attaches to the "quick hitch" used for the snow blade (and uses the existing hydraulic cylinders)? I've looked at "Johnny Bucket", and like the idea, but their product requires a totally separate front hitch with hydraulic cylinders and costs practically as much as a Woods loader does (I'd sooner just save up and get the "real" loader). I've also looked at "Superior Scoop", but I'm not too sure how well this will work. I'm not trying to move any mountains...just looking to be able to move around gravel, dirt, firewood, etc....basic stuff.

I never used a Superior Scoop, but saw one. It looks well made. Nice fit and finish...complete with a real beveled cutting edge.

My only concern would be how well the scoop will "seal" around the blade when it is clamped. It would probably work just fine for the materials that you have to move.
