Ok guys I need your help.
History: I was raking my newly cleared land on a high grade and put the tractor in reverse to back up. With in a course of a foot, both front wheels bucked in and bent the steering rod into a "U". I have since had the rod straighted and have it driveable in 2wd. When I jack the front up and spin the tires one will go one way and the other in the other direction when straight. When I turn the wheels hard one will spin and the other will not. When I parallel again the other side will not spin and I get a clicking sound from the area of the diffy. When I set it down and spin it again it seams OK for a moment but continue playing will only get only one tire spining with the clicks. This happen regardedless of gear I had it in (without engine running) or shifting between 2wd or 4wd. The only thing I can add as a precurser to the problem is that when I was working it under extreme load digging out a ditch that both front wheels were shaking and not going anywhere when backing up with a full load on the FEL.
Where I am at:
I have brought my tractor back to my shop and have committed to tearing the front end apart, but need direction in doing so.
As I understand it, all of the repair manuals are in a Japanese and well, very unhelp full. I do have the the exploded diagrams from Hoye (my hat is off to you guys!) that I will use as a base for my exploritory surgery. Since I am commited, as the saying goes "in for a penney, in for a pound" I would like to look for and replace any trouble spots during the the tearing down process. More importantly the actual steps in the removal/disassmembly process and any special tools I will need would be very helpful. I know this is now simple task, but if I the local guys can not put a bushhog together right the first time how can I trust them with Yanmar Diffy?
Thanks for your humble knowledge.
