Please see the attached B7100. I bought it new more than 20 years ago with a gear transmission, 4 wheel drive, Rear mount Woods mower and a rear mount Woods blade. I have 4000 hrs on it and had only one problem with the shaft that connects to the front axel about 10 years ago. I'm going to have the sheet metal repainted and give it to my son Raymond. I am amazed that Kubota still make all the stickers for this old tractor.
I have 50 hrs. on my new B7610 and you can see the attached photo. I have the FEL, 54"MMM, grass colector and a Land Pride rear blade for the new tractor. Raymond and I will share the old Land Pride 72" rake and the old Howard rototiller. Below are issues and impressions from a long time Kobata user.
Hydrostatic transmissions are the greatest.
The cruse controll sucks.
I had to modify the mower to increase the rear tread width.
I don't need to swing my leg over the steering wheel to get on and off.
I should have gotten the front end loader 20 years ago.
It is harder on the grass than the old lighter B7100.
The grass catcher works great but sure is loud.
I keep snagging my pants on the left hand levers when I get on and off the tractor.
The fuel filler should be on the side of the tractor not in the center as 5 gallons of fuel is hard to hold above the tractor when the FEL is removed.
It's nice to have a gas gauge.
The ROPS is taller and needs to be lowered to fit in my garage.
The power steering is a great feature.
I found the connector for the rear mounted lights thanks to someone on this forum.
I have an alignment problem with the idler pulley on the mower deck and a very small leak in one of the hydraulic hoses on the FEL that the dealer is taking care of.
The mower transport pins are impossible to install and remove.
I am impressed with how strong the FEL is but dissappointed in the volume of the 48" bucket.
The FEL makes installing and removing the MMM alot easier.
There isn't a horn for the kids to TOOT!
