Forum Upgrade - Any Issues?

Quite willing to accept the changes other than this one. On the list of last unread there is a nice bluish grey background but the lettering has an ugly yellow background that clashes and almost hurts my eyes. It would be so much better if it was all the same light colour.

Which browser are you using?

As for the eye strain... don't know what to tell you as the font, text size, color, and background on posts is the same as it was with the old forum.

On this computer, I'm using Firefox 3.6.13. I know, I need to upgrade, but it's an older laptop. I haven't checked the save button issue on any of my other newer computers yet.

I read that you had changed the font etc.. back to the way they were so I'm equally puzzled by the eye strain/headache issue. I suspect that it could be because of the extra white space (overall) making the page brighter, but that's only a guess. Perhaps I'm just having one of those days and will know for sure after some time has passed.

I want the whole row to be yellow but it's not as easy as on the old forum. Still looking into that one. I'm not a fan of the highlight but not the entire row being yellow.

Re the need to log in again: Clicking 'Remember Me' worked as intended.

I had to log in yesterday after the change, then haven't needed to since.

I have been reading this with my I-Pad and it seems to work pretty good on it. Tonite is the first night I logged on from the computer. I noticed that when I click on MY HOME on the icon it does not go to home but will when you click on the wording itself. And yes it is slow, hope it gets better.

Seems ok- change is always different- posting pics is a little trickier. I don't have the ability to hit the + Reply to Thread button in the lower left corner. No response. Instead I hit reply with quote and then erase the quote. Still getting used to things.

Quick reply was gone, came back, is gone again! Bottom reply button still won't work.

+1 Yes, the yellow background has improved the contrast, and made reading easier.

Great... alot of the suggestions have been implimated. the site is beginning to look nice to me. I especially like the fact that the reply button has the expanded version and i can tell what posts ive already looked at.

Muhammad, the tightening up of whitespace is going well. Vast improvement from yesterday.

My suggestion for the next step is ditch those huge touchscreen-inspired icons (under the Forum tab) that don't do anything. (A default VB 'feature'?)

The line of text below the line of icons is essential to understand what the icons are supposed to mean since not all the icons are obvious. And since that line of text is needed, it alone is all the reader needs to navigate the site.

Seems to me the line of big 'modern' icons does nothing beyond maybe impress a first time visitor. Is that what Win8 looks like? (actually they remind me of old long-forgotten software). But even our awed visitor will soon conclude the way they eat up screen space adds nothing beyond a nuisance.

Yes:thumbsup: The color helps "spiff" up the appearance and helps me nav since the color helps delineate the threads.

1. reply button still doesn't work.
2. Liked the "quick Navigation" button before better than this one. I was able to reload the forum I was currently viewing by just clicking it again, where now I click it and still have to scroll back down to the forum I was viewing.
3. Each thread always starts on the 1st post, makes it hard to find where you left off in a thread if it has many post.

Haven't read all so sorry if a repeat. On the mobile app the participated threads are all old except a few. And the newest resets as unread every time. Even if I just opened it.

I scanned all 15 pages and didn't see an answer as to the problems with the participated tab in the iPhone/iPad app. Will this be addressed? I have not looked at the TBN forum on anything other than a iPhone or iPad in so long I doubt I would notice changes. But I sure miss the participated tab in the app working correctly.

I use the iPad... Do you mean the subscribe tab?

I found this thread using the subscribed thread..

So maybe try closing the app and reopening the app and see what happens....
