And the weight on the forks is that much further out.IF you have to lift the weight of the bucket AND those forks, you won't be lifting much else!

Forklift went to the scrap yard a few months ago.sounds like a great way to twist the lip on the bucket.
I seem to remember seeing some companies that offer fork frames only for sale. you would have to verify fitment.
any chance that scrap forklift is still around so you can cut/remove the frame also and fabricate a ssqa mount?
I have a similar pair of forks; I made a frame that will fit on the 3-point or the FEL. It's extremely handy.
Today I used it to lift one end of a 20' container while I dragged it 400 yards to another plot.
I can't count the number of jobs I've done with this over the last 10 years.
Those forks are really tough; the frame had to evolve a bit before it was strong enough not to bend when I did silly things to it.
