Forgot how nice it is

..........to mow the grass when it is dry. Did my place and the one neighbor's late this afternoon. Temps were down and the wind was up. Actually had to wear warm clothing. Nice sunny afternoon and evening. The grass flew out of the chute almost like dust. The last time I mowed, it was REAL slow going to avoid throwing big green clumps. What a difference a few days can make this time of year.......................chim

Too bad it can't be Sept/Oct all year. I drove out last week to help power company relocate lines across our stream post-Isabel and got a chance to mow all afternoon in cool, dry sun...was like having a week-long vacation in one day.

I would have to say that October is easily the nicest month here in Northern California. The mornings are cool, in the 50's and the days are nice, in the 70's. Footballs going, playoffs are going and basketballs around the corner, not that I watch much if any of the sports. Just knowing I could is good. Thinking about what I'm going to be for halloween, ton's of great stuff happening or about to happen around October. Of course you Eastern folks get all that color coming up too.
