Ford Maverick Pickup?

Then you saw the v8, v6, i4 and EV versions. You also saw the Jeep pass the Bronco.
Exactly my point. He's two-faced. Really doesn't think anyone should be driving those gas-powered "options" (even though he has no problem riding around in private planes and limos), but took money from the manufacturer to hock the product because he is a washed up actor needing the cash.

Whatever. It’s a great commercial. I doubt he needs any cash.

While I find certain actors can hold my interest in a commercial, mainly because I like them, I do not let that influence my choice. Like voting for any political office. Who gives a crap what any "popular" person votes for...

Like the statement "I'm leaving the country if so and so is elected". Has anyone really left?

I know not exactly Maverick, but my work car, a 2021 Ford Explorer, I was deep cleaning this afternoon, as I'm turning it in tomorrow for something else. I think they are giving me someone's used F150, I whatever, I'll drive it. Found the original window sticker in the glove box, $34,495, for what was a pretty decent equipped Explorer. Only upgrades were aluminum wheels, and a front license plate mount. AWD, power everything, back up camera, Collison alert, even the side mirrors that have a orange light to show someone is in your blind spot.

Yeah, but price wise, Nissian can still be had for like $32k, roughly in the range of the Maverick with a couple options. Size, it's a bit larger, but not that much.

The Honda Ridgeline is still available, and apparently slated next year (26? 27?) for a more truck like remodel, according to the "internet"
I think I paid around $36K for my 2022 Nissan Frontier crew cab 4x4, S-model with some option and tech packages in late 2021. I really didn't want/need the options, but they were there. It's been an outstanding little truck. I think it's got about 55K miles on it now. No issues what so ever. I gave it to my daughter who moved out of state. We've had other previous gen Frontiers in the family and have always had excellent luck with them.

They ride like a shopping cart, but smooth like butter with weight in the bed. The new VQ38DD 3.8L is a nice running little engine. Very similar feel/sound to the previous port injected 4.0L. The 9spd auto in the 2022+ is a Jatco copy of the Mercedes Benz 9G-matic. Nice transmission. Not as sorted as a ZF8, but not bad.

If you do go for a long bed crew cab (they exist or existed in SV trim only), they have a laughably ridiculous turning radius. It's like trying to turn around a school bus. They are like this to this day. My father-in-law onws a 2017 long bed, CC. The short bed CC feel totally different, which is crazy, because the length difference is only inches.

From what I read, there are three cars to consider: Ford Maverick, Nissan Frontier, and Honda Ridgeline (maybe I missed other mentioned vehicles). I agree that all of them are worth checking out. The Maverick is great for fuel economy and versatility, the Frontier gives you a bit more bed space, and the Ridgeline is super comfortable. If I had to make the choice, I'd browse sites like Carvana to compare prices and see how close they are depending on trim and mileage.

Frontier and Ridgeline are in the same size class as th Ranger and Colorado. Bigger than Maverick and the Hyundai Santa Cruz which are the only subcompact pu's I am aware of

If I was a normal sized human I'd take a keen look at the Maverick; on paper I really like it. The Tremor (hilarious that a Maverick Tremor exists) or FX4 would probably be real nice in the winter, and would probably be real useful for young outdoor types. People that can get into a kayak without crying from the creaking. Lol.
