Seems small to me.

It's about the same size as the last new truck I bought... an '84 F150.

If I was looking for a small truck I would also check out the new Nissan Frontier. It has a longer bed, but still a small truck. It also looks like a truck.

I'd tread cautiously there given Nissan's somewhat precarious financial condition. Even if the company survives, there may be some paring of slower-selling vehicles. I believe their fullsize truck is already history.

I’m not in the market for a small truck, but I still like that better than the other small truck options.

I dont think i would be worried about that. Let's say the Honda Nissian Suzuki marriage happens, that's not going to affect a vehicle already produced by Nissian. Even if the new group stops making new Frontiers, parts will still be around for 10+ years; and it's not like you will ever take a vehicle back to the dealer for service. It's not like buying a "Montana" tractor, where it is orphaned

Did a little Googling and was surprised to see the Frontier was the #3 selling midsize truck, behind the Colorado/Canyon and the tacoma. A bit surprising since I hardly ever see any on the road. Had nearly 2x the sales of the Ridgeline, so it would make sense to keep it should the merger ever happen.
Biggest surprise to me was how poorly the Ranger is selling...it's in last place.
All this was based on 1st Q 2024.

And that's surprising because the Ranger is a great truck. My nephew pulled my brothers 40HP JD cabbed tractor on a 20' steel decked trailer, loaded down with implements too and said the Ranger pulled it no problem.
