Hey all. My ford 4500 with a 755 backhoe (I'm pretty sure atleast) has 2 wrong pins in it I'm pretty sure. The previous owner replaced one with "the biggest pin TSC had" I have the 755 manual but not the parts manual. I'd like to find the right pins but I'm not having a ton of luck on the Ole Google. Anyone just happen to know the bucket pin size or type? Thwae are the 2 the Pins that attached the bucket to the idler arms.

I would suggest you measure the length and ID of your pin holes

If I remember right, they were 1 1/2“ x 12 1/2”

Dont know the length but 1-1/2" is the right diameter.

Original pins are very hard on those. Like Rc55+ range for both the pins and bushings.

IF you are gonna start down the hole of replacing pins and bushings on that thing....You better make friends with a local machine shop

Yea, they were about $200 a piece when I left Ford in the late 90’s

Wow I wouldn't have thought theu would be so much. One of these might be the correct pini just feel like there's too much play in the bucket. I've sheared off one of the retaining pins for those pins already. I just can't imagine that it should be moving around so much to have that kind of play. I'm no backhoe operator by anymeans but I didn't realize they were 200 each sheesh.

Only the things that I have to🤣 the bucket pin has come out twice now and it just doesn't seem right. I wish I had one to look at in person to get the right pin sizes.

You can order stock in different through or surface hardnesses from McMaster Carr or other suppliers and cut to length / drill for pins. Would be less than the $400 you're looking at but would require additional work

This is what I'm working with. Call me stupid but I don't think I see any kind of bushing in their either.
