1989 Ford 1720
Recently doing some dirt work with my 1989 Ford 1720 under very dusty conditions the tractor lost power and stopped running. I changed the air and fuel filters however no change in how the tractor operates......after starting will lose power and after a few minutes will stop running. The tractor was running excellent before moving the dirt. Anyone had a similar experience with their 1720? If so what type of repairs? I would appreciate comments. Thank you.

I'm not a mechanic but it sounds like a fuel delivery issue. Could be the pump or it may be losing prime. Try to bleed the air out of the system. You have a bleeder screw. I have run my 1720 out of fuel before and the bleeder valve would get the air out. Do you have a service or owner's manual?

Loosen / remove the fuel tank cap and run it.
Or run it till it quits and immediately remove the tank cap. Is there a vacuum?

Definitely fuel related - something has stopped the fuel from getting to the engine and the likely culprit is dirt since you were working in dusty conditions. Having the vent in the fuel cap plugged is very possible but don't be surprised if you have dirt in the fuel and go through a few filters.
