Loader Flipping a boat

I think this is like one of the silliest questions I have ever seen posed on this TBN.
Anyone who did not know all of the answers put forward on this thread already should have their man card taken away.

I think it is the 2nd silliest question..... the first one being the guy who was seriously asking for advice on how he could move a 40ft over the road enclosed trailer with his 35hp tractor. Some people have it set in their mind that because they have this tractor, they are going to (try to) use it first for *whatever* needs to be done.

Never seen a small aluminum boat without a drain plug to pull out, and you should leave it out when the boat is upright. I would recommend you store the boat flipped over afterwards.

Now lets all figure out what size genset he needs to power the 6hp shopvac to suck the water out.

Sometimes plugs are on the bottom, near the transom. But for the record, I have a little boat without a drain plug. Yes, it is a pain.
To start a water hose siphon without risking a taste of stagnant water, prefill the hose with water from the tap and use your thumb to block the end while handling it.
But I really think this would be a good time to buy that PTO driven water pump that we all need for our collection.

I've seen small boats without drain plug. As far as he genset, i vote for a natural gas fired 10- 20kva auto start

OK, there's this boat. It's aluminum, about 9 feet long, in my driveway, and full of rainwater. (Long story.) It's too heavy for two muscular guys to lift by the handles on the ends. No obvious attachment points on the sides. This may be a boat question more than a tractor question, but how do I turn it over with my FEL to dump out the water without harming the boat?

Get a couple little kids and tell them they can play in the boat BUT don't spill any water out.

I was wondering if the boat was a V-bottom or a jon-boat (flat bottom) because the best way to accomplish the task depends on the hull shape. Since OP did not describe the situation fully, it does make it hard to determine what would work best....:laughing:

IMO, the best way is to pull the plug. Makes no difference what kind of bottom the boat has, pulling the plug will get enough water out to do what you want with it.

As far as the boat goes......Fill it up with rocks and displace the water.

That way, you can use your tractor!

Well, since you can't figure out how to get the water out just add some catfish to it and fish at home. :laughing:
