I think NH stands for New Holland.I too am looking for info from people who are knowledgable about flail mowers.I`m looking for something to cut my food plots that does a nice job and doesnt butcher the clover and leave clumps and wheel tracks.I`ve used rotory "butcher" type pull behind mowers and have not been very satisfied with the results.What model and size NH mower is Moonstruck using?what can a guy expect to pay for one of these?

Yes, I NH=New Holland. I should have taken more time to read the post. I did not know hat NH made flail mowers!!!

Doc - A friend of mine uses a flail mower between vineyard rows to avoid grape vine damage. Rotary mowers generate projectile rocks which take out valuable vines.

Excellent, another reason to go flail, as I just planted 50 Colorado Blue Spruces, and would hate to have them die in year 5 from a rock.

Mine is a New Holland. They make a regular and heavy duty. If I had it to do over I probably would have gotten the heavy duty because when you hit heavy rocks it sometimes causes an outward dent in the housing.
