I will be getting a free to me Ford 1210. It has 16 HP with 13.5 at the PTO. We have some property that we curtently mow 2x a year with a Gravely 2-wheel tractor and. 30 inch brush mower. I would like to get a flail mower that I can use on the Ford, but I know I have very limited choices because of the hp rating of the tractor. I'd like a 48" mower. I see some mowers with HP ratings as low as 15. I assume that is what would be required for full width cut.
Am I being overly optimistic thinking this tractor will run a mower that size? Are there any low HP mower recommendations?
