Wow, that seems to be quick. I was speaking to another JD 4100 owner and he indicated he uses a 60 inch deck and amulching kit and does multiple acres pretty fast and it does chop everything up at between 4 - 7 mph. Does that sound right to you all?

I cut about 5 acres as "lawn" with a 90" Mott pulled behind a 45HP KAMA. I can cut all this area in less than 3 hrs. It has some steep (and short ) slopes with rock outcroppings (reason I got the flail .. got too expensive buying blades and spindles for the finish mower). I can hit most sidways but the pucker factor is high /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif I also have other fields that I mow once or twice a season about 6 acres .. the mower whacks thru 2-3' tall stuff with ease. I love the flail. It cuts great and leaves no clumps ... I'll never go back to rotary .. Scozz
