I recently came across a Flail mower and couldn't resist taking it. It was almost FREE! Now that I have it, I need to learn the way they work and all the safety issues with it. I am planning to use it to keep the area under the power lines on my property clear of brush. In the last 10 years the brush grew so thick that I had to have it back bladed by a dozer to clear it. Let me know the good, bad, and the ugly part of owning it. It is a Haban & I am using it on a Bolens Large Frame HT-20 garden tractor (20 HP). thanks Dusty (& dumb about flail mowers)

Dusty,flail mowers are not for brush hoggin,there best use is finish mowing typically not letting the grass height get out of hand between cuts.Check the archives,I believe there was similar talk before.Tom
