After running my 1947 2N Ford for 20 years I find my 3030 seat quite comfortable.

Franco, what fix for steering wheel vibration are you referring to?
There was one which was basically a bracket, which doesnt seem to help much.
Have you found a different one?

I have had no luck on finding info for a better seat for the 3030. Until I see a better seat I am staying with my 2910 that has a great seat even after 3 hours of mowing each time I go out. My NH dealer tells me that Kubota knows about my comments but has not yet come up with any solution.

So I've been using the f3680 seat on my b3030 for 20 hours now. Its great. Feels like I'm in a car with good suspension, even while bouncing over rough meadow. It has tilt, lumbar, and suspension adjustments. It is the cure for the b3030 seat, as Neil Messick said.

Charles,

I noted that Messick's says the f-series seat adds 3 in. of height. Do you have long legs or doesn't the extra height make much difference in the ability to reach the pedals? I have short legs and this is the only thing holding me back from getting a comfortable seat so I can actually enjoy the seat time.

I just purchased a new B7610 and complained about the horrible seat (which is very similar to the B3030 seat). The dealer made a few calls and determined that the deluxe B2910 seat will fit my B7610. I believe he said this was Kubota's remedy for the B3030 seat also.

The cost for the swap is $200. I'm not crazy about having to pay extra for a decent seat on my new tractor, but I can't imagine spending much time on that forward-tilting, hard, flat stock seat. The bad seat and pedal ergonomics **** near cost Kubota a sale to the very comfortable John Deere 2520.

I wonder if that same seat will fit on the 7800.

Yeah, I'm 6'5, so the extra height is a bonus for me. I'd be glad to measure the front of the seat to the pedals or whatever if you want.

Has anyone found anything else out about the seat replacements? I have new 3030hsdc, which I now have 8 hours on and the seat is horrible. After two hours of blowing snow I need a handful of Aleve for my back! I did some reading on here and see the seat from michigan seat looks like a replacement.Michigan Seat Company Is this the same seat as on the f3680 ? Sure looks the same.

Guess I would have been even more upset if I'd shelled out the money for the cab and had to put up with the poor seat. I contacted Kubota and asked them if they'd heard of the issue with the B3030 seat. Evidently they have, they responded and said I'd be hearing from my dealer. Sure enough, the dealer contacted me and said they would be replacing the seat but were waiting for word on the specific seat to be used. The dealer came out and replaced the seat with one that is evidently from the Z series mowers. Have 0 seat time in the new seat but it looks less like a recliner and has more padding. I know of at least two sales Kubota has gained because of this excellent customer service. I have been thinking of buying a BX1850 because I'm not happy with my riding mower, however the 1850 appears to have the same seat as the B3030, now I know I'll be getting the 1850. I had let a neighbor try my B3030 but he said he wouldn't be getting one because of the seat, this was after only 1/2 hour of use and I had not told him I was uncomfortable in the seat, I was too proud of the tractor. After I told him how Kubota made the seat a non-issue, he said he'll be buying one.

Kudos to Kubota. They have all my future business.

Has any one else been contacted by their dealer? Is this something that we need to initiate? Sent the survey back on the 2630 and never heard a reply on my paragraph complaining about the horrible seat. Please keep us updated.

I replaced my B3030HSDC seat with the B2910 seat. The bolt pattern was identical. Changed the seat in less than 5 minutes. Probably alot less than F3680 seat. Although the F3680 seat is very comfortable since I purchased one this past summer and like it very much.

ussie00, forgot to answer one of your questions. Yes, the seat in the link in your post is the seat on the F series mowers. I confirmed this today at a Kubota dealer. Kubota even leaves the Michigan Seat sticker on the seat. The F series seat is by far the best seat I've tried on a Kubota product. However, though I haven't had the opportunity to do any work with the tractor since the seat was replaced, I can tell the new seat is light years ahead of the stock B3030 seat just by sitting in it for a while and the price was right! If it turns out I don't like the replacement seat, I'll let the moths out of the pocketbook and get the F series seat, that's as comfortable as my recliner.

3rdgenorange, I too criticized the B3030 seat in the survey and heard nothing. Later, I remembered what an acquaintance who worked with surveys told me, that they are mainly used to gather statistics, at least the ones he dealt with. That's when I decided to contact Kubota directly and once that was done, Kubota didn't dawdle, they came up with a new seat fairly quickly. This showed me that Kubota not only listens to dealer input, as some have said, but also customer input and it doesn't get any better than that!

Thanks Guys on the replies, I will be calling dealer in the morning. Did you contact Kubota? And which department did you get the response from? Looking forward to new seat and happy days!

My dealer either wasn't able or did not know how to correct the seat issue. That's why I contacted Kubota directly. I didn't contact any particular dept., just went to the Kubota website and filled out the contact information. When it asked for the subject, I selected "customer satisfaction."

Part number 6C070-88720 is a good replacement option.
Seat that was used on the B2410,2710,2910.

Sorry I have been off the net for a while but thought I would reply to the seat question. I dont know the part number for the seat or even if they did change the part number. According to the dealer, they went to the parts room and pulled a seat from stock that the book called for and it was redesigned. My seat looks exactly the same except the angle is different. It is a huge improvement over the old one. My dealer says they are switching them out and sending them back to Kubota for warranty. They doubt that Kubota will do anything about it because the seat is on so many tractors and financial impact would be huge to replace them all. They are a stand-up dealer and want to keep the customer happy. That is why they will get my business over and over again. I just purchased a rake from them the other day and they were not the cheapest supplier but I know they will stand behind what they sell.

Hey Guys,
I have a B3030 with 56 hours on it and also find the seat terribly uncomfortable. I seem to always be sliding forward off the seat, I operate the hydrostatic pedal with my right leg, so I have to use my left leg the whole time to hold myself up on the seat.............and man is my left leg tired after a few hours!:(

I just went last week and had the dealer do my 50 hour maintenance. When I was there I complained about the seat to them again. (They say they haven't gotten to many complaints.) They told me they called Kubota after I complained the first time, a while back, but Kubota told them is wasn't a warranty issue and that they wouldn't do anything.......so my dealer said anyway. I told them I would call Kubota myself and complain and they said that would probably get me farther. I haven't called yet, I'll let you know what happens when I do get around to calling.
