Tractor
Kubota L3130D
Just bought an L3130D at auction over the weekend for $12,500 after buyer's premium and taxes. Came with the LA513 FEL on it. Has about 450 hours. My dad whose been farming for most of his life in some capacity started it up and made sure everything was in working order before we bid on it. Not too many of these out there for sale in the area so just wanted to see how other tractor owners think we did on this purchase.

Planning on using it for snow removal (1/2 mile plus driveway), moving dirt, mulch, trees, brush etc., maybe mowing and tilling if I can find the attachments for good price down the road.

I have an L3130DT bought around 2002-03. I paid $12,500 then with a 5' bush-hog. I added a loader later and have 700 hours on it with no issues.

I think you got a good deal. I have seen the same tractor around here (used) for 14-16k.

Welcome from Southeast Ohio :welcome:

The L30 series is a good tractor and will serve you well for you listed needs. One can always get want more horsepower and lift, but for getting in and out of tight spots while still being big enough to serve you well, the L3130 will work just fine. I have the L3430 and it has served me well and with only 450 hours, it will work for many more to come.

If the tractor did not come with them, a good idea is too pick up the owners manual for the tractor and the FEL, it covers everything from usage to maintenance intervals. They are worth the investment.

Good luck and be safe.

Do you have a source for owner/operator manuals? I've found the service manual for the tractor but haven't found anything for an owner/operator type manual.

Your price sounds pretty much right. I recently bought a clean L3130 with the SSQT LA713 loader, filled tires, serviced (with 1021 hours) for the same money- HST and 4WD, of course. It's really clean now, since I will use it primarily for snow clearing, and it is a hobby tractor the rest of the year. Did you contact Kubota for downloadable manuals, or maybe one of the good dealers that post here and folks like? Messicks has been helpful for me and many others. I think you will find your tractor very useful and good to own!
