Well, it had to happen sooner or later (preferably later), but we had our first snow today at my place in the higher (not highest) elevations of Western, Mass...didn't stick around long, but it sure was cold today...

Had snow here in Central New York yesterday - off and on
all day, then steady heavy wet snow around 8 pm - stuck
to the grass; was still there this morning.

I live in the southwest corner of New Hampshire. Went out this morning to leave for work and noticed a lot of white stuff all over everything. First though it was a hard frost but after a closer look decided it was snow not frost.

Now we can begin our long warm indian summer, I hope.

Snowed here as well. I live in Northern New Hampshire. 1800 elevation. 2-2 1/2 inches. Spitting snow now. 29.7 degrees but it is supposed to get into the mid 40's this afternoon.

No snow here but it was cold enough too. We had our first frost this weekend and temp. was down in the high 20's for a low. Can't believe it's winter already.

hello, i am here in southern NH. it is above freezing at 36 but the white stuff is flying around the house, though not sticking. we are at 475' above sea level which is high for here, the highest being 595' at a beautiful farm one town over.

No snow in Western Maryland!!!! Who-hoo.... /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif It was 28 degrees when I got up at 5:00 AM.

However, we've had a first good frost. The market garden is done!! The vegies left are kale, collards, and swiss chard.

And to think I was upset this morning because we had our first frost here in Va at 26 degrees. After reading all of these messages I don't feel so bad now. It's supposed to get up to 70 today...I guess I should count my blessings.

Where I live in SE Michigan we had some "white stuff" floating in the air Saturday afternoon. Nothing stuck and it didn't last very long. I even went out and checked......it was snow. We had a real hard frost on the pumpkins when I got up Monday morning.

No Snow in So. MD either (/w3tcompact/icons/frown.gifI want to try out the toy, um tractor, blade and FEL on some snow too), but it has been getting chilly (nearly arctic for the natives). Was a sheet of ice on the hot tub cover Sunday morning from dew. Though the water under the cover was 96 deg, felt real nice. Good insulation. Shock to the thermometer's system when I pulled it out of the water to check ambient, 31.

First frost on the ground here in Northern Virginia this AM. Frankly, I'm ready for a nice big snow. But if it's not enough for me to plow, why bother.....

You all can tell I want to put my new tractor through the paces, right??? [smiles]

We haven't had snow yet hear in upstate New York, but yesterday morning when I got up it was 18 degrees, and everything was covered with a real hard frost. It made giving all the critters water hard, because all the hoses were frozen, and I had to find a bucket to carry water. I wasn't prepared for a freeze this early!!/w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif I hope Bird isn't dealing with temperatures that are too cold!! I know he hates the cold!!/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif
